Are you wondering what's in store for you at Chapel this fall? Great! Stop by the annual all-Chapel ministry opportunity fair in Smith Hall to meet class teachers, browse the course offerings for adult education on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights! Displays and teachers will be available at 10:10 and after the 11:15 service on both August 29th and September 5th. For more info, contact Gail Thibodeau, 789-5753.

The public school year begins this week, August 24. Please pray for teachers, especially Christian teachers, that Christ will empower them with grace and wisdom as they minister to our children. In addition, pray for the students in our schools - public, private, and at home - that they will develop into the people God created them to be.

Children's Worship at the 11:15 service resumes Sunday, August 29. We invite and encourage pre-school through early grade school age children to join us for age appropriate worship in the Log Chapel.

Applications for the 2010 Lavena Hutchison Scholarship will be available from the church office or website on Wednesday, August 25th. Completed applications will be due on September 30th. This fall term we are hoping to act out (through shadow play) The Voyage of the Dawn Treader by C.S. Lewis and we need your help to do it. We have a number of roles that you can fill: game leader, snack coordinator, small group leader, prop donations, set crew, or even actors in our shadow play! These roles all have different levels of involvement and commitment, so now is the perfect time to try things out and help our children grow! New Rehearsal Time! Sundays at 8am in the main sanctuary beginning Sunday, September 12th, 2010. The choir will sing at the 9am worship service every 1st, 4th, & 5th Sundays of the month. We will sing at the 8am service once a month and sing at the 11:15am service seasonally.

No requirements. No auditions. All music abilities welcome! Just make a commitment to use your time and talents in this music ministry. Become a part of a caring "small group" that encourages each other through fellowship and prayer. Develop, strengthen, and use your musical gifts as we sing songs of praise and worship.
