Update on our family:
John has stenosis of the spine in his neck. He has to have his neck fused. The problem they face is doing this without making his scoliosis worse. So we are waiting for Seattle right now on when this can be done. Trevyn has had a rough couple weeks. And facing high school without a secure plan was scary. After meeting with district officials, his IEP team, as well as teachers, we think we have a solid plan. Please continue to pray for him as we adjust to intensive therapy and moving into Highschool. Henry finally got an IEP himself. He is delayed in social and emotional areas. We have now started OT therapy as well as in home and in office counseling for him. Please pray that we can get him the support he needs to help him. Thank you everyone for praying for our family. We are putting our trust and faith in God to help us through all these obstacles.

UPDATE 5/14 (from Chrisanna Lesmann on nephew Parker): After facial surgery Parker is doing well and has been released from the hospital. Praise God the hairline fracture in his jaw didn’t change his bite so no braces and bands are needed. Doctors are still monitoring him and he has several follow up appointments this week for his traumatic brain injury and fractured facial bones.
Please continue to pray for pain management and healing and encouragement. They are so thankful because it could have been much worse!

UPDATE (from Rita K on their brother-in-law Thomas Theron): He had his surgery last Thursday. Lots of pain from cracked ribs (all of them from 30 min of CPR) and quintuple bypass surgery. Thank you for your prayers for him. It will be a long haul recovery.

Please pray for my friend Alison, who was just diagnosed with an aggressive Stage 3 cancer. She is single, has no family in Juneau, and is unable to work. Please pray that her treatments are successful and that she is able to keep up her strength and spirit.

UPDATE: Martha Morris said today Bud is doing remarkably well. He is breathing on his own and they are hopeful that the trach is not permanent. They plan to come home 1st week of June! Please continue to pray and give thanks for his amazing progress.

Hilary hurt her back over a week ago. She can’t sit , sleep or stand for very long. She is working long hours as session is to end May 15th. Prayers for healing and relief from pain so she can finish her job. She has employees depending on her. God is good.

UPDATE 5/14: My niece McKenzie has an update on her 2nd surgery. The Surgeons have decided to let her body heal from the first long surgery. So they will be looking at doing the right side sometime after the 4th of July. So Thank you all so much prayer warriors the Lord answered your prayers with a successful first surgery and healing of her body. Will keep you all up-to-date once we know the day of the 2nd surgery.

Thank you all who have been praying for my niece Mckenzie. Her surgery yesterday went for 14 hours, stopping at 10 p.m. They will have to do a second surgery to finish it all in about 2 weeks. She is recovering nicely with it all. Thanks to the Lord for this and she knows all your prayers have helped her through it. I will let you all know when the second surgery to finish it will be scheduled. Thanks again for all your prayers for her!

UPDATE: Auntie Joyce died Thursday, May 9th early evening.
My Auntie Joyce, Myrlene Grant’s sister, has been in the hospital the last couple days and she’s getting worse and may need surgery. Pray for her healing and wisdom and guidance for the doctors to know how to treat her. And prayers for Myrlene as she can not travel to Canada to be with her sister. Lord, hear our prayers.
